Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wished strength and a safe return to NASA Astronaut Sunita Williams. Astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are on their way back home from space and set to return to Earth tomorrow after being stranded at the International Space Station (ISS) for about nine months for what was initially a week-long mission. In his letter, Prime Minister Modi extended Ms Williams an invitation to visit India after returning from space.
The letter, penned by Mr Modi was shared by Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh on his social media handle. Dr Singh also informed that Prime Minister Modi met former NASA astronaut Mike Massimino a few days ago and requested that this letter from him and the people of India reach her.
In the letter, Mr Modi reaffirmed India’s deep bond with Sunita Williams. He mentioned that 1.4 billion Indians have always taken great pride in her achievements.
