Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually flagged off the indigenous Vande Bharat Train today, which will operate six days a week between Dehradun and Lucknow, as well as Lucknow and Dehradun.

Uttarakhand Governor Gurmeet Singh and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami were present at the program held in Dehradun to mark this occasion.

With the introduction of the second Vande Bharat train, passengers can now complete the journey between Dehradun and Lucknow in eight hours and 20 minutes.
