Uttarakhand is celebrating its 25th foundation day today. With this, the silver jubilee year of Uttarakhand has begun. President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami have wished the people of the state on Uttarakhand State Foundation Day.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, through a video message, emphasized on making a roadmap for the next twenty-five years for the development of Uttarakhand as the state enters its 25th year.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister urged the people of the state to preserve the culture and nature of the state. Mr. Modi also made four requests to the tourists and pilgrims coming to Uttarakhand. Various programs are being organized in the state on the occasion of Uttarakhand Foundation Day.
Akashvani’s Correspondent reports that on the occasion of State Foundation Day, cultural programs are being organized at various places across the state. On Uttarakhand Foundation Day, a Ratik Parade was organized at the Police Line in Dehradun. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh reviewed the parade and took the salute.
During this, CDS General Anil Chauhan, Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi and other dignitaries were present. On this occasion, the Chief Minister honored those who made notable contributions in various fields with the Uttarakhand Ratna Award. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister announced to connect villages with fifty and above population in the state with roads by the year 2030 on the special occasion of state foundation day.
