Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Darbhanga, Bihar today and inaugurate, lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects worth over 12 thousand crore rupees in the state. In a major boost to health infrastructure in the region, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of AIIMS, Darbhanga worth over 1260 crore rupees. It will have a super-specialty hospital and AYUSH block, Medical College, Nursing College, night shelter and residential facilities among others. Our Correspondent reports, Darbhanga, AIIMS which will be ready in next three years at Shobhan is long cherished dreams of people of Mithilanchal region. JD(U) National Executive President Sanjay Jha said that it will be a great boon for North Bihar.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple National Highway projects and railway projects worth over 6800 crore rupees. Eighteen Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras will be inaugurated at various railway stations across India. These will ensure availability of affordable medicines at railway stations and promote awareness and acceptance of generic medicines thereby reducing the overall expenditure on healthcare. Mr Modi will also lay the foundation stone of multiple initiatives in the petroleum and natural gas sector worth over 4,020 crore rupees. The City Gas Distribution project under this initiative will benefit more than 1.5 residents of Darbhanga, Madhubani, Supaul, Sitamarhi and Sheohar districts.
