PM Modi to lay foundation stone for several infrastructure projects in Warangal of Telangana on 8th July

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be laying the foundation stone for several infrastructure projects in Warangal of Telangana on Saturday. He will be visiting the State as part of his four-State tour from tomorrow. He will arrive at Hakimpet Airport Stations by a special flight on Saturday morning and reach Warangal later. He will be laying the foundation stone virtually for infrastructure works worth over 6000 crore rupees and address a public meeting from the Arts College Grounds, Hanmakonda.

The projects include 176-km long National Highway projects worth over 5,550 crore rupees and a rail wagon manufacturing facility with an investment of over 500 crore rupees. The Prime Minister’s visit assumes significance as Telangana State is going for Assembly polls in the next few months. He will lay the foundation stone for the 108-km long Mancherial-Warangal section of the Nagpur-Vijayawada Corridor, which will reduce the distance between Mancherial and Warangal by about 34 km on NH-44 and NH-65. Mr. Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the upgradation of the 68-km long Karimnagar-Warangal section from the existing two-lane to a four-lane one. This will help in improving connectivity to Hyderabad-Warangal Industrial Corridor, Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, and the special economic zone at Warangal. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the Railway Manufacturing Unit at Kazipet, which will improve the wagon manufacturing capacity and also job opportunities for the local youth. The Prime Minister will leave for Rajasthan on the same day.
