PM Modi to launch WAVES Summit in Mumbai, dedicate Vizhinjam port in Kerala

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-day visit to Maharashtra, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh from tomorrow. On the first day of his visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in Mumbai. On the next day, he will travel to Kerala and dedicate Vizhinjam International Deepwater Multipurpose Seaport to the nation. It is the country’s first dedicated container trans-shipment port that represents the transformative advancements being made in India’s maritime sector as part of the unified vision of Viksit Bharat. Mr Modi will also address the gathering on the occasion.

 

Thereafter, Mr Modi will inaugurate, lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects worth over 58 thousand crore rupees in Amaravati. In line with his commitment to ensure world-class infrastructure and connectivity across the country, Mr Modi will inaugurate 7 National Highway projects in Andhra Pradesh. These projects will further enhance road safety, create employment opportunities, and provide seamless connectivity to religious and tourist places like Tirupati, Srikalahasti, Malakonda and Udayagiri Fort, among others. He will also dedicate himself to the national railway projects aimed at enhancing connectivity and boosting capacity. These projects are doubling the rail line between Bugganapalle Cement Nagar and Panyam stations, enhancing connectivity between Rayalaseema and Amaravati and the construction of a third rail line between New West Block Hut Cabin and Vijayawada stations. He will also lay the foundation stone of 6 National Highway projects and one Railway project. These projects will improve connectivity, interstate travel, reduce congestion and improve overall logistics efficiency.
