Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Varanasi tomorrow. During his visit, Mr. Modi will inaugurate RJ Sankara Eye Hospital, which will offer comprehensive consultations and treatments for various eye conditions. The Prime Minister will also address the gathering on the occasion. Besides, he will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects in Varanasi.
In line with his commitment to boost connectivity, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone for the expansion of the airport runway and the construction of a new terminal building and allied works at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi, worth around 2 thousand 870 crore rupees. He will also lay the foundation stone vertically of the New Civil Enclave at Agra airport worth more than 570 crore rupees, at Darbhanga airport worth around 910 crore rupees, and at Bagdogra airport worth around 1,550 crore rupees. Mr. Modi will inaugurate new terminal buildings at Rewa Airport, Maa Mahamaya Airport, Ambikapur, and Sarsawa Airport worth over 220 crore rupees.
In line with his vision to provide top-quality infrastructure for sports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Phases 2 and 3 of the redevelopment of Varanasi Sports Complex worth over 210 crore rupees under the Khelo India scheme and the Smart City Mission. He will also inaugurate 100-bed girls and boys hostels and a public pavilion at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Sports Stadium at Lalpur.
Besides, the Prime Minister will inaugurate tourism development works in Buddhism-related areas in Sarnath. These enhancements include the construction of pedestrian-friendly streets, new sewer lines, an upgraded drainage system, and organised vending zones with modern designer vending carts to promote local handicraft vendors, among others.
