Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Vande Bharat Express rail service in the Tirunelveli- Chennai Egmore-Tirunelveli sector tomorrow. This will be the second Vande Bharat service to Tamilnadu.
 
Chennai, known to be a hub of cultural, industrial, healthcare, and robust economic activity, will be connected with the city of Tirunelveli or Nellai. Tirunelveli is well known for its river Tamirabarani and also for its ancient temples, pilgrimage and tourism hotspots. Both the cities are presently connected by Nellai Express, Kanyakumari Express, Tiruchendur Express, Guruvayur Express, and Ananthapuri Express.
 
The state-of-the-art Vande Bharat offers faster and enhanced connectivity which will benefit people traveling for pilgrimage, business, education, healthcare, and other travel needs between the two cities. It will be faster by 2 hours than the existing train services.
