Prime Minister  Narendra Modi has reiterated the government's commitment to the welfare of the farmers. Mr Modi yesterday announced the establishment of the National Turmeric Board considering the needs and future prospects of turmeric farmers for their benefit. This board will help farmers in different areas ranging from value addition in the supply chain to infrastructure-related works. 

Replying to a post by Member of Parliament from Nizamabad Arvind Dharmapuri, regarding the benefits of the establishment of Board, the Prime Minister in a social media post today said that the well-being and prosperity of farmers have always been a top priority. He added that the government aims to harness the potential of the turmeric farmers and give them the support they rightly deserve. Mr Modi assured that the government will keep doing whatever it takes to ensure a brighter future for our turmeric farmers.
