PM Modi lays foundation stone for redevelopment of 34 railway stations in Madhya Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 34 railway stations in Madhya Pradesh under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. These stations in 21 districts of the State will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities with a sum of 982 crore rupees. Governor Mangubhai Patel participated in the programme organised at Bhopal's Sant Hirdaram Nagar railway station. During this, Mr. Patel thanked the Prime Minister and said that this is happening for the first time in history and that the foundation stone for the work of rejuvenation of 508 railway stations in the country is being laid simultaneously.

The local citizens are also thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing the scheme as wonderful. According to a local citizen Kuldeep Sharma, the scheme will not only increase the facilities for the passengers, but these railway stations will also become the identity of the city.

It may be noted that the Central Government has approved railway projects worth more than 13,000 crore rupees for Madhya Pradesh this year, while works worth more than 77,000 crore rupees are in progress in the State.
