Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the passing away of former Civil Servant N. Vittal.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister praised N. Vittal as an exceptional Civil Servant, who made significant contributions to India's progress across various sectors. He also acknowledged Vittal's pivotal role in the development of Gujarat during his tenure in the State. Mr Modi extended his condolences to Vittal's family and friends on their loss.
