Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed condolences on the death of social worker Nabam Atum. In his message, Mr Modi said Nabam Atum devoted his life towards popularising the unique cultural identity of Arunachal Pradesh and strengthened the indigenous faith and cultural society of Arunachal Pradesh.

Nabam Atum was a social worker and former Chairman of Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission. He was also a recipient of ONE India Award of ‘My Home India’ in 2012, presented by Mr Modi who was the Gujarat Chief Minister at that time.
