President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed condolences over the demise of renowned dancer and cultural icon Kanaka Raju.

In a social media post, the President said a Padma Shri awardee Kanaka Raju has dedicated his life to promoting the dance form and trained the youth to carry forward cultural legacy.

Meanwhile, Mr. Modi praised Raju’s contributions to preserving Gussadi dance and stated that his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.

The Prime Minister highlighted that Raju’s dedication and passion ensured that important aspects of cultural heritage could flourish in their authentic form.
