PM Modi distributes about 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits under Rozgar Mela through video conferencing

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today distributed about 51 thousand appointment letters to newly inducted recruits under Rozgar Mela through video conferencing. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Modi said, Rozgar Mela stands as Government's dedicated effort to empower young individuals and strengthen their active engagement in the country's development. Congratulating all the newly inducted recruits who received appointment letters today, he wished that their resolve of services will lead to the achievement of the nation's goals. 

The Prime Minister said, several women recruits have got appointment letters today. He said, when millions of youth like the new recruits join government services, the speed and scale of implementing policies also increase. He said, today's daughters of the country are making records in the field of space to sports. Mr. Modi said, women have always brought change in several fields, with a new energy. He said, today the country is witnessing historical achievements and decisions. The Prime Minister said, a few days ago, half of the country's population received great strength in the form of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. He said, the Women's Reservation Bill, which was pending for the past 30 years, has now been passed by both houses with record votes. Mr. Modi said, this decision was taken in the first session of the country's new Parliament. He said, in a way, the new future of the country has started in the new Parliament.

The Prime Minister said, India has resolved to become a developed nation by 2047. He said, the country is going to become the third-largest economy in the next few years. Mr. Modi said, today, India's GDP is growing rapidly amid difficulties in the global economy. He said, there has been a huge increase in the production and exports. He added that the amount of investment the country is making today in its modern infrastructure has never been done before.

Talking about technology, Mr. Modi said, use of technology in government schemes curbed corruption, complexities and boosted credibility and comfort. He said, people have seen in the past nine years how governance is made easier through technological transformation. The Prime Minister said, Aadhar card, digital locker and e-KYC ended the complexity of documentation.

Interacting with Media in New Delhi, Union Minister for Personnel and Training  Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the Modi government has provided nearly 9 lakh jobs in the last nine years, while the UPA government had given only 6 lakh jobs in its nine-year tenure. Dr. Singh stressed that the Modi government is also providing jobs in the private sector with support to startup ecosystems in the country.

The Rozgar Mela was held at 46 locations across the country. The new recruits, selected from across the country will join the Government in various Ministries and Departments including the Department of Posts, Atomic Energy, Revenue, Higher Education, and Ministry of Defence among others. The Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfillment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord the highest priority to employment generation. The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.
