PM Modi addresses public meeting at Agastheeswaram in Kanyakumari

Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that a wave of support for the ruling BJP in the Country has started  in Tamilnadu. Addressing a public meeting at Agastheeswaram at Kanyakumari, he remembered the yatra that he led from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in 1991. 
 
Mr.Modi said that the people believed in developing the Nation but the Opposition was dwelling on divisive politics and corruption. Listing out the various scams which hampered the development of the Country, he said that the parties in the INDIA alliance never cared for the welfare of the people.He said that as a token of remembrance of Tamilnadu, the Sengol was installed in Parliament. The Prime Minister said that the BJP Government had implemented infrastructure development schemes in Rs.130 Crore worth projects. 
 
He also said that during the UPA regime,  800 Crore rupees was allocated for development of Railways whereas now the allocation was  6300 Crore. The Prime Minister reiterated that his Government had intervened on the fishermen issue with the Srilankan Government many times and was instrumental in releasing  them from Srilankan Prisons. The Prime Minister arrived at Trivandrum and came to Kanyakumari by a helicopter. He left for Trivandrum soon after the meeting was over.
