PM Modi accuses Left govt of hindering Centre’s development programmes in southern state

As Kerala is gearing for Lok Sabha election in the second phase on 26th April, top leaders of major political parties are visiting the State for campaigning.

Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting at Cheruvattani in Alathur reserved constituency. During his speech, he accused the Left government of hindering Centre’s development programmes in the southern state. He said that BJP’s priority is to ensure welfare of the common people, especially that of the poor. Mr Modi said the forthcoming general elections will pave way for the bright future of the country. He said, BJP’s mainfesto reflects the aspirations of the country’s development and added that while Congress projected India as a feeble nation, BJP made it stronger.

Mr Modi stated that if BJP is voted to power, it will ensure that the heritage of Kerala is put on the global map and assured that the party will continue to work tirelessly for the overall development of the state. Mr.Modi will take part in a public meeting in Attingal constituency this afternoon.

Meanwhile, in Wayanad Lok Sabha Constituency, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi participated in a roadshow at Batheri. In the evening, he will participate in a UDF rally at Kozhikode beach. LDF leaders including Sitaram Yechury and Prakash Karat are also scheduled to hit the campaign trail this week.
