Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Harmilan Bains on bringing home the Silver Medal in Women's 1500m event in the Asian Games. In his message, Mr Modi said it was a spectacular performance marked by zeal, passion and love for the sport.

Prime Minister also applauded the performance of Ajay Kumar Saroj who has won the Silver Medal in Men's 1500m Finals. He said his commitment to excellence has etched a glorious chapter in Indian athletics. Mr. Modi also applauded Jinson Johnson for bagging a Bronze in Men's 1500m Finals. He hoped Jinson Johnson always scale new heights of glory. He also lauded Nandini Agasara for winning Bronze medal in Women's Heptathlon 800 metres event. He said she is an absolute champion, personifying sporting spirit and excellence.
 
Prime Minister congratulated Long Jumper Sreeshankar Murali on clinching the Silver medal at the Asian Games. He said the athlete has set a perfect example for generations to come. Mr. Modi praised the performance of Seema Punia who won Bronze in the Discus Throw event. He said her dedication and hard work have made the nation proud once again.
