Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Narendra Modi addressed public rallies at Sirsi in Uttara Kannada and Davangere on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Modi assured of his guarantee to make India powerful, ensure security and development. He said that encouragement to millets, separate Ministry for Fisheries and Kisan Credit card to fishermen, Matsya Sampada yojana, smart cities, new railway lines and an increase in the national highway from 24 to 47 in Karnataka have benefited people. Taking on the Congress Government in Karnataka, he said the bomb blast in Bengaluru and other Law and Order issues in the state are due to the Vote bank politics by the Congress party. He also accused the Congress Government in the state of diverting 11000 crore rupees SC-ST funds for other purposes and cutting down 4000 rupees given to the farmers by the previous BJP Government under PM Krishi Samaan Nidhi Yojana. He said the state government has left no funds for development. He also called upon voters to come out and vote in large numbers on May 7th.
