Piyush Goyal flags off Bandra Terminus-Madgaon inaugural service from Borivali Station

Union minister Piyush Goyal today flagged off the Bandra Terminus-Madgaon inaugural service from Borivali Station in Mumbai. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw participated in the event through video conferencing.

 

Addressing the event, the Railway Minister Mr. Vaishnaw said that the train will showcase the natural beauty and scenic landscapes of Konkan. The Western Railway inaugurated this train ahead of Ganesh Festival, the biggest festival in Konkan.

 
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the train will enhance connectivity between Mumbai suburban and Konkan.

 
This 20-coach train will operate bi-weekly. The train will depart from Madgaon in Goa every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:40 am and arrive at Bandra Terminus at 11:40 pm. It will depart from Bandra Terminus every Wednesday and Friday at 6:50 am, reaching Madgaon at 10:00 pm. En route, it will halt at Borivali, Vasai Road, Bhiwandi Road, Panvel, Roha, Veer, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Sindhudurg, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, and Karmali stations.
