In the Philippines, the death toll from catastrophic flooding and landslides triggered by tropical storm Trami last week has risen to 116. The search operations are continuing for 39 missing people. According to the local authorities, Trami brought two months of rain, affecting more than 6.7 million people across 17 regions in the country. Floodwaters have destroyed highways and bridges, disrupting transportation and inundating homes with mud.
