Jaiswal’s innings was highlighted by two sixes, making him the batter with the most sixes in a calendar year in Test cricket. He now has 34 sixes in 12 Tests in 2024, surpassing former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum’s record of 33 sixes in a single year.
Earlier in the day, Australia, resuming their first innings at an overnight score of 67 for seven, were bowled out for 104 before lunch.
