People of J&K have chosen ballot over bullet: BJP President

BJP president JP Nadda lauded the peaceful Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, stating that the people of the Union Territory have chosen ballots over bullets, emphasizing their commitment to peace and development. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that addressing a press conference, Nadda highlighted the absence of violence and terror attacks during the first two phases of polling, marking a significant shift in the region’s political landscape.

He said, this is a historic moment where the people of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected bullets and embraced the ballot. Their choice is a powerful response to violence. Nadda also credited the youth for joining the national mainstream, forsaking arms, and aligning with the vision of peace and progress. Nadda emphasized that the elections were a victory for peace, stability, and development, praising the youth for rejecting terrorism. He said before Article 370 was revoked, 300-400 youths would join terrorist outfits annually. Today, that number has dropped to just four, underscoring the shift toward peace. Criticizing parties like the National Conference (NC), People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and Congress, Nadda accused them of supporting anti-India elements and fostering an era of violence. He further condemned the NC-Congress alliance for its political compromise. Nadda was talking to media person at BJP’s media centre in Jammu today.
