In Tripura, people are facing uncomfortable weather conditions due to persistent scorching heat with high humidity. The state witnessed one or two spells of rainfall during the last three days that gave temporary relief for a limited period of people from the scorching heat.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the State has received only 0.4 mm rainfall in the past 24 hours, with maximum temperature recorded 35 degrees and minimum at 27 degrees celsius. Whereas, the humidity was recorded at 79 per cent. The IMD bulletin indicated that there is hardly any possibility of good rainfall, except for one or two spells, until the weekend.
