In line with the Prime Minister's call to dedicate one hour for cleanliness, people across Uttar Pradesh participated in the cleanliness drive today. Chief Minister Yogi Aadiyanath participated in Swachhta hi Seva Abhiyaan in Namisharanya Dhaam, Sitapur, while Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna and BJP state president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary participated in the events in Lucknow .
AIR correspondent reports that after participating in cleanliness drive in Sitapur CM Yogi Adityanath said that cleanliness is our first responsibility, devotion also starts with cleanliness. He appealed the people to avoid using polythene in religious places. CM Yogi said that Uttar Pradesh has achieved the target of ODF in rural areas, before Gandhi Jayanti.
Urban Development and Energy Minister A K Sharma along with public representatives and party officials participated in cleanliness campaign in Agra and Union Minister of State for Road Transport Dr. VK Singh participated in cleanliness drive at Shaheed Sthal Metro Station Park in Ghaziabad.
In Varanasi, NDRF Varanasi conducted a massive cleanliness drive at Dashashwamedh Ghat, Rajendra Ghat and Dashashwamedh Bhawan. NDRF and ITBP teams also conducted massive cleanliness drive in Lucknow.
Under the one-hour cleanliness volunteering program, prabhat pherie were taken out by the students of the basic and secondary schools today. Students and teachers took the responsibility of cleaning the school premises.
