Parsi community across the country is celebrating the Nauroz, the Zoroastrian New Year’s Day today. In Gujarat, which has a sizable number of Parsi people, the New Year is celebrated with religious fervour.
Akashwani correspondent reports that Parsi community members living in Valsad, Sanjan, Udvada and adjourning places in South Gujarat are celebrating the new year today. The people don traditional attire visited Agairi, the fire temple in the morning to offer prayers. The day is celebrated by cleaning homes and adorning them with flowers and rangolis. People wish each other a great year ahead and seek forgiveness.
