Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi accuses opposition of running away from debate on Manipur violence issue

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi today accused the opposition of running away from debate on the Manipur violence issue. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, he said, no one is able to understand opposition strategy. Mr. Joshi reiterated that the government is ready for discussion on the Manipur violence issue and urged the opposition to take part in the discussion.

Meanwhile, opposition parties staged a protest in Parliament House complex demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement in Parliament on the Manipur issue. Mallikarjun Kharge of Congress, Lalan Singh of JD(U), Sanjay Singh of Aam Aadmi Party, Elamaram Kareem of CPI(M), TR Baalu of DMK, Prof. Ram Gopal Yadav of Samajwadi Party, Prof. Manoj Jha of RJD and others were present during the protest. Displaying placards, they raised slogans in support of their demand.
