On the sixth day of the Khelo India Para Games in Delhi, para shooters and powerlifters showcased their exceptional skills and competitive spirit. At the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range, Akash secured the gold medal in the Mixed 50m Pistol SH1 category. In the same event, Sanjeev Kumar won silver, while Rudransh claimed bronze.
Meanwhile, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, powerlifters delivered impressive performances. In the Elite 80 kg category, Sandesha B. G. won gold, with Murugan securing silver and Jaideep claiming bronze. Kasthuri took the gold medal in the Elite 67 kg category. Megha Pandey won silver, and Jeewani secured bronze in this category.
Speaking exclusively to Akashvani News, Secretary General of the Paralympic Committee of India, Jayawant G. H., highlighted the importance of the Khelo India Para Games in promoting para sports across the country. He emphasised that the initiative is providing athletes with a significant platform to grow and achieve their dreams.
