Palestinian Authority expressed its deep gratitude to India for releasing the second tranche of 2.5 million dollars in financial aid to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). In a statement, the Palestinian Embassy also lauded India’s commitment to humanitarian assistance. Charge d’affaires of the Embassy of Palestine at Delhi, Abed Elrazeg Abu Jazer, emphasised the significance of the financial support, calling it a testament to India’s unwavering support for UNRWA’s mandate, established in 1949. Yesterday, India’s Representative Office to Palestine announced the release of the 2.5 million dollars tranche. Over the years, India has provided financial aid amounting to 40 million dollars for UNRWA’s core programs and services, including education, healthcare, relief, and social services for Palestinian refugees.
