Pakistani national arrested in Canada alleging to provide support to ISIS

In Canada, a Pakistani national was arrested after being charged with attempting to provide material support and resources to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS). Attorney General of the United States of America, Merrick Garland, said the defendant is alleged to have planned a terrorist attack in New York City. He had planned to carry out a mass shooting in support of IS at a Jewish centre in Brooklyn on the anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel on the 7th of October this year. According to the US Department of Justice criminal complaint, Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, also known as Shahzeb Jadoon living in Canada, was arrested earlier this week on charges filed in the United States.
