In Pakistan, at least 16 people were killed and 30 others injured after a speeding van fell into a ravine in Jamshoro district of the Sindh province. Deputy Commissioner Ghazanfar Qadri said the ill-fated van was carrying people from Lapari in the Punjab province to Badin in the Sindh province. They were returning home after completing the wheat harvest work in Balochistan. Relief and rescue are being carried out at the spot. Authorities said, the death toll may rise further as some of the injured were in critical condition.
