P.V. Sindhu Exits Denmark Open After Quarterfinal Loss to Indonesia’s Gregoria Tunjung

India’s challenge at the Denmark Open ended today after two-time Olympic medallist P.V. Sindhu lost to Indonesia’s Gregoria Mariska Tunjung in the quarterfinals of the women’s singles. Sindhu lost to world number 8 Gregoria 13-21, 21-16, 9-21. This was Sindhu’s second tournament since her loss to China’s He Bing Jiao in the round of 16 at the Olympics. The last time Sindhu and Tunjung faced off was at the 2023 French Open, where the Indian star emerged victorious.
