The government has redressed over 366 thousand grievances within 21 days of the timeline after the government issued comprehensive guidelines for handling public grievances in August last year. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today, Minister for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions Dr. Jitendra Singh informed the House that 90 ministries and departments had appointed over 54 thousand Grievance Redressal Officers on the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System portal under the guidelines.

He further informed that over 28 lakh grievances have been redressed during the last year and about 10 thousand of them are related to 28 ministries, while over 7 lakh 60 thousand pertain to the states and union territories.
