Over 1.08 crore devotees took holy dip today, bringing the total to a staggering 56.64 crore pilgrims so far

Over 1.08 crore devotees today took a holy dip in the sacred Sangam during the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj till 6 this evening. So far, over 56.64 crore devotees have bathed in the holy waters. On this occasion, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman took a holy dip and performed rituals. Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi also bathed in the Triveni Sangam. Afterward, he expressed that India is a land of devotion and culture.


Union Aviation Minister, Ram Mohan Naidu also took a dip and informed that the Prayagraj terminal has been expanded to accommodate the growing number of visitors during the Maha Kumbh, which has now been doubled. He added that the Union government is in constant communication with airlines to further increase the airport’s capacity and manage the crowd effectively. Many other dignitaries also participated in the Mahakumbh today, including UP Congress President Ajay Rai, Shiv Sena MP Srikant Shinde and BJP MP Tejaswi Surya.
