Opposition parties stage walk out from Lok Sabha in post lunch session

Opposition parties on Monday (07 August 2023) staged a walk out from the Lok Sabha in the post lunch session. When the House met after second adjournment at 2 PM, the House passed the  the Digital Personal Data Protection Bill, 2023 amid continuous  protest by the opposition parties on the Manipur violence issue.  Soon after the passage of the Bill, Congress leader  Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury  objected to the allegations made by  BJP MP Nishikant Dubey   against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and others regarding the foreign funding  during the Zero Hour.  The Congress leader  said his comments were baseless and objectionable.  The Presiding Officer disallowed him. Later, members from Congress, DMK and  others staged a walk out.
