Opposition parties on Monday (07 August 2023) staged a walk out from the Lok Sabha in the post lunch session. When the House met after second adjournment at 2 PM, the House passed the the Digital Personal Data Protection Bill, 2023 amid continuous protest by the opposition parties on the Manipur violence issue. Soon after the passage of the Bill, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury objected to the allegations made by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and others regarding the foreign funding during the Zero Hour. The Congress leader said his comments were baseless and objectionable. The Presiding Officer disallowed him. Later, members from Congress, DMK and others staged a walk out.
