Opposition divided on No-Confidence Motion, as there no consensus among them, said Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi opined that the Opposition are divided on the No Confidence Motion moved by the Congress party in Lok Sabha. Speaking to media outside Parliament House today, he said that the developments after moving the motion show that there is no consensus among them.

He emphasized that the Government is confident of defeating the motion as was done in 2018.  Speaking on the issue of Manipur raised by the Opposition members, he said Home Minister Amit Shah camped in Manipur for three days to review the situation and is continuously monitoring it.

Saying that the NDA members of Parliament from North East met the Rajya Sabha Chairman yesterday, Joshi informed that they have expressed desire to hold a discussion on Manipur in the House. He reiterated that the Government is ready to discuss the issue in the House. He pointed out that NDA will again form Government in 2024 and the opposition protesting wearing black clothes today will be given a befitting electoral debacle.
