The online registration for applicants to set up new Sainik Schools in partnership mode will opens tomorrow. As part of the government's initiative to set up one hundred new Sainik Schools, the Sainik School Society will re-open its portal sainikschool.ncog.gov.in for registration of eligible interested applicant schools. It will remain open till 25th November this year. Defence Ministry said that schools, NGOs, Trusts and Societies, which have already registered and applied during Round-1 and Round-2 need not apply afresh registration.

The government's vision of establishing new Sainik Schools is not only to provide quality education to the students but also provide an opportunity to the State Governments and private sector to work hand-in-hand with the Central Government. The Ministry said, Sainik Schools Society has so far approved 42 Private and State Government Schools as new Sainik Schools.
