One person died, while six other people have been injured in an explosion in an explosives manufacturing factory in Bemetara district, Chhattisgarh on Saturday. The factory is located near Pirda village in the Berla development block. Police, firefighters and rescue teams were rushed to the site after the incident.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident. Chhattisgarh government announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the family of the deceased and a compensation of Rs 50,000 each for the injured.
