Odisha is likely to experience isolated heavy rainfall for the next three days under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over Bay of Bengal.The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall today at some places in Gajapati, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Balangir, Nuapada, Malkangiri and Koraput districts. Meanwhile, heavy rain lashed in Khordha, Cuttack, Balangir, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada and Bargarh districts of the state yesterday causing waterlogging in low-lying areas. At least five persons died due to lightning strikes at different places in Bargarh and Balangir districts.
