On the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day, over 300 nursing students from government and private colleges in Puducherry participated in an awareness rally organized by the Puducherry Health Department. The day, observed globally on 10th September, aims to raise awareness about suicide prevention and foster support for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts.

The rally conducted as part of the National Mental Health Program, was flagged off by Deputy Director of Health, Dr. G. Raghunathan and Indira Gandhi Government General Hospital & Post Graduate Institute Medical Superintendent Dr S. Sevvel from the office of the Director of Health in Puducherry.
