The National Sample Survey Office – NSSO, under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), is conducting a conference on upcoming Enterprise Surveys in New Delhi. The conference focuses on engaging with various business associations and stakeholders to discuss upcoming surveys that will shape the understanding of India’s economic and business landscape.

        Five major enterprise related initiatives of MoSPI, are being discussed in the conference. These initiatives include the Annual Survey of Industries (ASI), Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE), Annual Survey of Service Sector Enterprises (ASSSE), Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) Survey, and Economic Census.

        According to NSSO, these surveys are designed to provide a comprehensive picture of the non-agricultural sector of the Indian economy on an annual basis and serve as a vital input for compiling GDP and GSDP figures aiding in macroeconomic estimations.

Nearly 150 participants, including representatives from about 70 business associations covering all major sectors are attending the conference.
