The gross non-performing assets (NPA) of scheduled commercial banks have declined in the last three financial years. NPA declined to five lakh 71 thousand crore rupees in March 2023 from eight lakh 35 thousand crore rupees in 2021. This was stated by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today.
