These trains will primarily depart for the eastern regions of the country from New Delhi and Anand Vihar railway stations in the National Capital.
Talking to Akashvani News, Northern Railway General Manager Ashok Kumar Verma said that more than one lakh seventy thousand additional seats will be available this year to ensure comfortable travel for passengers.
He also mentioned that around fifty-four thousand extra seats have been added for unreserved category travelers on these special trains.
To manage the increased passenger flow, Mr. Verma said, special waiting areas will be set up at New Delhi and Anand Vihar railway stations, providing passengers with a place to relax after purchasing tickets. He noted that all special trains heading east from New Delhi Railway Station will operate from platform number 16.
