Nomination papers of 56 candidates found valid for 4th phase of parliamentary elections in Bihar

Nomination papers of 56 candidates were found valid in the scrutiny for the fourth phase of parliamentary elections in Darbhanga, Ujiarpur, Begusarai, Munger and Samastipur Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar. All these five constituencies will go to the polls on 13th May.

 

Total of 84 candidates had filed nomination papers, out of which 28 were rejected. 29th April is the last date of withdrawal of candidature.

 

The Bihar Chief Electoral Office (CEO) informed that a maximum of 12 nomination papers were rejected in the Darbhanga parliamentary segment where a total of 20 candidates had filed nomination papers. In Ujiarpur out of 23 nomination papers 10 were rejected while in Begusarai 4 were rejected leaving 10 nominations valid. In the Samastipur Lok Sabha constituency, 12 nominations have been found valid after rejection of 2 papers.

 

On the other hand in the Munger Lok Sabha constituency, all 13 nominations were found valid.
