In Bihar, nomination papers of 55 candidates were found valid for the second phase of parliamentary elections in Kishanganj, Purnea, Katihar, Bhagalpur and Banka Lok Sabha constituencies. Scrutiny of nomination papers of 86 candidates was held on Friday.
The maximum numbers of nomination papers 10 out of 20 were rejected from Katihar parliamentary constituency. In Banka 9 nomination papers were rejected followed by 8 in Bhagalpur. In Purnea of 7 out of 11 nomination papers were found valid.
In Kishanganj, all the nomination papers of 15 candidates were found valid. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is the 8th of April.
Polling will be held on the 26th April for these five parliamentary constituencies.
