Ms. Sen added that an orange alert has been issued for a heatwave over Punjab and Haryana. The weather department has also forecast that heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy falls is very likely to continue over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Northeast India till the 19th of this month.
