The Bharat Bandh called by Reservation Bachao Sangharsh Samiti to protest the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) reservations failed to get response in Haryana and Chandigarh. As per reports, no impact of Bharat Bandh was seen in Jind, Rewari, Ambala, Sirsa, Rohtak, Kathal, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Karnal, and UT Chandigarh. The markets are open, and vehicles are plying on roads as usual. Educational institutions, government offices, banks, and petrol pumps are working as usual. There is no impact on essential services such as medical care, drinking water, public transport, rail services, etc. The state government has made adequate security arrangements to maintain law and order in view of the Bharat Bandh call.
