Nitin Gadkari Inaugurates ₹4,137 Cr Road Projects in Odisha

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, today inaugurated several road projects and laid foundation stones for new ones worth 4,137 crore rupees in Odisha. Speaking at a function at Baramunda ground in Bhubaneswar this evening, Mr Gadkari also said that his Ministry has approved the Capital Region Ring Road project in Odisha. He said the Ring Road Project from Rameswaram in Khordha district to Tangi in Cuttack district in Odisha will be executed with an expenditure of 7,000 crore rupees.

 

Mr Gadkari informed that a proposal for six laning of Bhubaneswar-Puri road with an expenditure of 1,200 crore rupees has also been approved by his Ministry. On the occasion, the Union Minister inaugurated four laning of Talcher to Kamakhyanagar stretch of National Highway-149 and National Highway-53. He also inaugurated vehicle underpasses (VUPs) of National Highway-16 at Balikuda, Sikharpur and Badachana, besides laying foundation stones for three new VUPs and a flyover on NH-16, new bridges over Mahanadi, Ret, Sagada and Tel rivers in Odisha. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi was also present on the occasion.
