At least nine people, including two women, have been killed and several seriously injured in a stampede during musician Mike Kalambayi’s concert held at Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, DRC on Saturday. DRC Health Minister Roger Kamba confirmed this. On the instruction of DRC Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka, a crisis meeting has been called. The Kinshasa municipal government announced an investigation into the incident.

The incident took place at the Stade de Martyrs stadium, one of the largest in the country. Security sources said, the stadium was over capacity when the stampede occurred.
