The Indian benchmark equity indices, Sensex has crossed the 82,000 mark for the first time. The new record high stood at 81,972 levels.
The NSE Nifty 50 rose 97 points to trade at the 25,000 mark for the very first time, when the reports last came in. All the sectoral indices were in green, except for realty and media.
