Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting & Parliamentary Affairs Dr. L. Murugan has said that the new education policy will spearhead India’s stature as a global leader in soft skills and the education sector. Inaugurating the 14th InSPA International Conference on “Research Prospects in School Psychology” at the Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur, the minister said that India will become the third-biggest economy in three years.
Dr. L. Murugan emphasized that psychology plays a critical role in every aspect of life, particularly in student well-being. The minister highlighted how mental health and school psychology have become pivotal to nation-building. He expressed satisfaction with the international participation and announced the release of five new InSPA books.
The conference features workshops on student mental health interventions, a children’s assembly for local students, and an awards ceremony recognizing excellence in school psychology. The three-day conference has drawn delegates from Russia, France, London, Japan, Thailand, and Mauritius.
